* D. A. Carson
Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Highly lauded Evangelical scholar who has written or edited more than 45 books. Author of Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church (probably the best critique available on the movement - done after a great deal of research, it reflects his meticulous and insightful scholarship). Brian McLaren’s response to this book was to say “Don Carson doesn’t understand us.” (If someone of Carson’s ability does not truly understand them after all of his research, one wonders what hope there is for anyone to understand them).

* R. Scott Smith
Assistant Professor of Ethics and Christian Apologetics at Biola University. Author of Truth and the New Kind of Christian (excellent book which addresses the philosophical underpinnings of postmodernism and the emerging church).

* Millard Erickson
Highly esteemed Baptist systematic theologian who has had three works published critiquing postmodernism and its effects on the church: The Evangelical Left: encountering Postconservative Evangelical Theology (author), Truth or Consequences: The Promise & Perils of Postmodernism (author), and Reclaiming The Center: Confronting Evangelical Accommodation In Postmodern Times (editor).

* Albert Mohler
Conservative Southern Baptist. President of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky; and a member of the board of James Dobson’s Focus on the Family. He has written many articles which articulately critique the movement (see, for example, his review of A Generous Orthodoxy at http://albertmohler.com/commentary_read.php?cdate=2005-06-20).

* David Wells
The Andrew Mutch Distinguished Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has authored many outstanding books, including Above All Earthly Pow’rs: Christ in a Postmodern World.

* Charles Colson
Evangelical author and founder of Prison Fellowship. He has written several articles critical of the movement.

* Carl Henry († Dec. 7, 2003)
Revered Evangelical theologian who served as Senior Research Professor at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. His chapter in The Challenge of Postmodernism offers an especially articulate critique of postmodern thought.

* Justin Taylor
Director of Theology and Executive Editor, Desiring God. Co-editor of and contributor to Reclaiming the Center.

* Douglas Groothuis
Theologian known mostly for his books and articles on cults and apologetics. Contributor to Reclaiming the Center and the author of Truth Decay, both of which deal with the influence of postmodernism in the Church. * Gene Veith
The executive director of The Cranach Institute (a research and educational arm of Concordia Theological Seminary), the culture editor of World magazine, and author of numerous books including Postmodern Times: A Christian Guide to Contemporary Thought and Culture as well as Loving God with all Your Mind: Thinking as a Christian in a Postmodern World.

* Thomas Howe

* Donald Macleod
Professor of systematic theology at the Free Church of Scotland College in Edinburgh, Scotland. Author of The Person of Christ: Contours of Christian Theology. Christian apologist, theologian, and philosopher of religion. Dr. Moreland is currently distinguished professor of philosophy at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.

* Don Matzat
Lutheran pastor and author of several books.
